Project experience

I've been involved in a number of great projects over the years with various organisations. Examples of a few of these below;

Offshore Wind Development
Waikato and South Taranaki Offshore Wind
  • Spearheaded environmental and consenting strategy for BlueFloat's offshore wind projects in New Zealand, applying expertise gained from European projects to the emerging NZ market.

Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm
  • Led the securing of consents for both onshore and offshore elements of this 1.1GW project.

  • Successful applied to reduce turbine numbers from 110 to 72, utilising more efficient technology.

  • Played a key role in the project that will power approximately 1.6 million Scottish homes, significantly contributing to UK offshore wind targets.

Industry Leadership
  • Active participant in industry working groups in both the UK and New Zealand, focusing on critical ecological areas such as ornithology, marine mammals, and fisheries.

  • Chaired New Zealand Offshore Wind Working Group.

  • Sit on advisory committee of Auckland University Business School's Energy Centre.

  • Working group member for Aotearoa Circle's Energy Sector Climate Change Scenario mapping.
